Lina was born in the small, vineyard village of Zefielia. In an attempt to overcome the inferiority complex given to her by cruel treatment from her older sister, Lina set out to master offensive Black Magic at a very young age. When she was twelve years old, she learned the most powerful Black Magic spell, Dragon Slave, completing her training. The very next year, she left her small home and her sister's abuse, never looking back.

Within a few short months, Lina had built quite a reputation for herself, but, with a reputation comes fans.. and rivals. One of these rivals tracked Lina down and insisted on traveling with her. This woman's name was Naga the Serpant. The two became quite a pair, having some amazing adventures together.

For reasons unknown, Lina and Naga parted ways after nearly two years together. Soon after, Lina found a new, permanent traveling companion in the swordsman, Gourry Gabriev. Along the course of their adventures together, they met up with and befriended the overly serious chimera, Zelgadis Graywords and Princess Amelia of Seyruun.

With the help of her friends, by the age of seventeen Lina has brought about the downfall of Ruby Eyed Shabranigdo and two of his Mazoku Lords, as well as numerous other quests of justice... and treasure. ;-)
